Maurer Forge Hoof Knife

The Maurer Forge Hoof Knife is a beautifully handmade knife made from an oil hardening tool steel produced by the last family-owned and operated tool steel company in the US. The steel features an extremely hard cutting edge combined with a more flexible spine for durability and longevity.

The Maurer Hoof Knife was inspired by a desire to keep the user’s wrists straighter reducing the stress on the wrist joint caused by twisting and bending. The belly in the blade itself allows for the last 20mm of the knife to be flat whilst the wrist is at a comfortable angle further reducing wear and tear.
